Archipelago is a system for architectural design and construction utilizing PET bottles that has been researched, designed, prototyped and fabricated by Justin Tyler Tate for LINZ FMR 23. As it is open-source, any feedback or examples of its use would be greatly appreciated in developing or modifying the project further.
Using knowledge from various fields, Tate marries them in order to find solutions to contemporary problems: architecture, carpentry, botany, cooking, electronics, chemistry, new-media, and more are all merged under a singular umbrella of artistic production. Justin Tyler Tate is occasionally a curator, author, social designer as well as a frequent workshop facilitator focusing on utilization of available materials, tools and site-specificity. |
